About the Role

We are recruiting a passionate SEN Teacher to join our inclusive education team across various UK locations. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special educational needs.

You will work with students with diverse needs including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges. Your role will involve creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum materials, and employing specialized teaching strategies to ensure every student can access quality education.

Working in small class sizes with dedicated support staff, you'll have the resources and professional development opportunities to excel in this rewarding role. We're looking for someone who combines strong pedagogical skills with empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement individualized education plans for SEN students
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, therapists, and support staff
  • Maintain detailed records of student development
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies
  • Participate in EHCP reviews and multi-agency meetings
  • Contribute to whole-school SEN initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • SEN qualification or significant experience working with SEN students
  • DBS clearance
  • Understanding of SEND Code of Practice
  • Patience and empathy in working with diverse learners
  • Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong behavior management skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education principles
